Did You Know

When it comes to strengthening the spine, it's wise to start with your core. A strong core helps support your spine and take the pressure off of your spinal discs.

The key here is consistently working on balancing your core's strength and flexibility. Three key ways to do this are to perform exercises and stretches that target your core, to move more each day overall, and to get adjusted.

Remember those venn diagrams your teachers used to use? If you put strength and flexibility together, you get better mobility, and when you move better, you feel better! Adjustments are just one of the tools we use to help you do just that.

Why It Matters

Remember, movement of the spine promotes the delivery of essential nutrients to the spinal discs to help keep them healthy. Similarly, targeted adjustments can do the same and help improve your range of motion and decrease pain.

Next Steps

When it comes to protecting your spine and the discs that are your body's shock absorbers, your "homework," if you will, is to be proactive.

Follow the diagram we laid out. Prioritize both your favorite core exercises and stretches and aim to move more and to keep up on your adjustments in general. After all, you don’t get old then stiff, you get stiff then old!

Make time for your self-care. Be sure to have your next appointment scheduled and to favorite our social channels for helpful wellness tips and more!
