What Was The Jolt In Your Back?

unnamed (5).jpg

Have you ever had a moment where you felt a jolt in your back—maybe when reaching for that last grocery bag or a toddler whizzing by? Odds are, you have. Now, did you feel like [A] you just "overdid" it or [B] it came out of nowhere?

If you answered [B], that ouch moment might be hinting at stenosis—which, simply put, is a tightening of the spaces in your spine that can put pressure on your nerves. And the thing is, it's very common and often develops very slowly.

A colleague comes to mind—she's active, loves weekend hikes, and volunteers as a soccer coach. About a month ago, she came in after noticing this nagging twinge whenever she turned. And, you guessed it, we found some stenosis.

Now, if her symptoms ring a bell, don't run off and into a Dr. Google rabbit hole. If you have concerns about your back health, you're already in the right place!

The truth is, adjustments can do wonders for stenosis in the neck or back. And get this—on her last visit, that colleague shared she's playing in a golf tournament and gearing up to coach volleyball. She's back to doing what she loves and more!

Until next week, make time for your self-care. Be sure to have your next visit scheduled, and, if you like what you read, we hope you'll forward to a friend.
